Stalls

Hitchin Market is a covered market, the majority of stalls have tables.  Stall size varies from 8 – 14 ft.

Casual Traders

Causal traders should turn up on the day between 7.15am – 7.45am and report to the Market Manager or the Market Office along the row of shops adjacent to the market.

Sunday Car Boots                  £5.00/£7.50.00 Per Stall

Car park permits                                                                       £3.00 per day (not Sunday)

Licensed Traders

Licensed traders will have a regular pitch and benefit from lower rates.  You can choose to apply for a licence for one, two or three days of business.

Public Liability

Every trader must have Public Liability Insurance in order to trade on Hitchin Market (not Sunday or Craft & Farmers Market).  You will find a wide range of prices online but to give you an idea of costs, this is one of the cheapest policies we have found:

Commodities

Hitchin Market aims to keep a good and fair balance of goods and produce on offer.  You should always call or email the Market Manager if you are interested in trading to ask if the commodity you sell is acceptable.
